The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, which has been officially unveiled and available for pre-order for about two weeks, is not a perfect phone.
In recent days, there have been an unusual number of complaints on Reddit and Google support pages about a particularly annoying bug: many users are unable to take advantage of the phone's wireless charging feature. The problem is that after a few minutes of charging, the phone stops working and won't continue charging, regardless of the charger used.
This error occurs even when using the Google Pixel Stand 2, so it can be ruled out that the problem is due to a cheap or old external charger. It is likely that the problem is with the phone's software and not its hardware, which means that a future software update may solve the problem.
At the moment, Google says the bug is known and the engineering team is investigating it. If someone is experiencing a similar issue, you should report the bug through the “Send device feedback” option on your phone and provide as much detail as possible.

Hopefully Google will fix the issue soon, especially before the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold go on sale next week. In the meantime, you may want to try different wireless chargers to see if any work, or use traditional cable charging until the bug goes away.
