Although Nintendo's next console hasn't been officially revealed yet, thanks to a major leak, someone has already designed and printed a Switch 2 based on the plans (the name isn't official yet, of course).

In a Chinese-language video, we can see what the Nintendo Switch 2 might look like, with the 3D printing looking pretty good. According to the leaks, the person made the device, which is larger and the screen is also larger than the current Switch. However, in everything else, it's pretty much the same style that the Switch has been used to since its release in 2017, so the big N hasn't left the beaten path for non-travelers, although the magnetic connection on the Joy-Con controllers is unusual at first, that's not controversial.

The leak surfaced on Reddit thanks to a Chinese user on an unspecified Discord server. The person’s source is under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and the details are believed to have been shared by a factory worker. The Switch’s successor specs have also been leaked and they’re mostly the same as what we’ve heard before. It will have 12GB of memory, which is LPDDR5X, clocked at 7500 MT/s, and we’re getting 256GB of flash storage. We don’t know much about the SoC model name, but if these specs are real, we’ll likely be hearing more about the next big N device soon.

According to rumors, the Nintendo Switch 2's performance will be relatively close to that of the Xbox Series S, but texture quality may be better on the next Big N platform, if there are indeed 12GB of memory in the devices that support Nvidia DLSS and Ray Reconstruction. However, the Steam Deck will set it apart, as its processor can be called more powerful even if it is not a modern chicken.

The Nintendo Switch's successor has yet to be announced, but the Japanese company will have to put in some time for it if the device is released in the first quarter of 2025.
