The exciting announcements for Netflix Geeked Week continue to pour in! The Splinter Cell animated series, subtitled Deathwatch, has officially been revealed, accompanied by a short trailer.
Netflix has been heavily involved in the animation of video game franchises, and this year’s Geeked Week is full of exciting announcements! Among them, one of the biggest launches is the trailer for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Without further ado, watch the trailer!
“Don't be afraid! Darkness is a good thing. Once you get used to the shadows, you see the bad people for what they are. They will never see you coming.” Sam Fisher's words to his daughter sound very familiar from Splinter Cell: Conviction , but this time instead of Michael Ironside, it's Third Echelon agent Liev Schreiber's voice. While the 74-year-old Ironside's baritone, who has previously battled cancer, is irreplaceable, based on the short trailer, Schreiber also seems to do a great job in the role.
The only question is when Splinter Cell: Deathwatch will be available on Netflix. The series doesn't have a specific premiere date yet, but the “coming soon” caption at the end of the trailer suggests the big day could come early next year.
