We’ve been hearing about Splinter Cell Remake for a long time, but now Ubisoft is looking for a talented screenwriter to rewrite and update the story of the original game.
It’s been a long time since Ubisoft announced the remake of the first Splinter Cell game. Unfortunately, we didn’t hear about the project in Ubisoft Forward’s latest broadcast, but now Ubisoft Toronto has published a new job ad that, based on its description, is looking for a talented screenwriter with the goal of rewriting the original story. Splinter Cell has been updated to meet the needs of today’s audience.
They added, “We want to preserve the spirit of the original game and the themes that it developed while exploring the game’s characters and world to make it more realistic and believable for today’s audience.
According to Ubisoft, we can expect a new generation of visuals and gameplay, and of course the dynamic light and shadow effects that form the core of the series will also play a major role. Although they are rebuilding the game from the ground up and trying to update the design, they have stated that they are trying to stay true to the classic Splinter Cell experience: it also means that they will leave the game in a straight line and not add an open world to the he-she.
