Laura Bernier is also the Public Outreach Education Officer for Parks Canada. Parks Canada is the federal agency that manages and protects Canada's national parks and national park reserves.

The Learn to Camp program is a partnership between Parks Canada and MEC (Mountain Equipment Company), providing opportunities for newcomers to access national parks in new ways.
