Sports, humor and public life: the best press photos shown in downtown Debrecen – with photos and videos

Debrecen – On Csapó Street, among other things, award-winning sports photos by Debrecen photographer István Derencsényi can be seen.
For forty years, the Hungarian Press Photo Contest & Exhibition has been the largest national exhibition of the photojournalistic profession. For the 40th Hungarian Press Photo Contest, 245 photographers submitted 2,305 photos, a total of 5,810 photos, of which selected exhibition materials arrived in the city center of Debrecen.
Great photos can be seen in the pedestrian area of Csapó Street. Opening the exhibition on Wednesday evening, Istvan Puskas said:
The best 2021 press photos can be viewed on the Csapó utca website, including award-winning sports photos by Debrecen István Derencsényi.
– It is worth remembering, because how we spent the last year, it is worth looking in the mirror through real visual artwork. Because these pictures are much more than facts. They confront us with our own world. Human dramas, social problems, defining moments, humor and tragedies, winners and losers. We live here, the deputy mayor said.
The exhibition was opened by photojournalist Andras Pankoti, Head of Photojournalism Department at MÚOSZ. The exhibition can be viewed for free until August 31.
