Square Enix can’t improve or not? [VIDEO]

The system requirements for the game Luminous Productions are listed, but the list is a bit confusing for several reasons.

In the video below Square Enix introduces graphic customization, mention that AMD FSR 2 provides improved performance, with support from Samsung SSDs we get great load times, DirectStorage is supported, we can also play in 32:9 aspect ratio (views (you won’t be in it), and Luminous Productions counts not only with a controller, but also with a mouse and keyboard. That’s all well and good, but given the system requirements we’d run out of worlds (if only because they got here a week before the game was released…).

Minimum system requirements – 720p resolution, 30fps frame rate:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 x64 (at least with the November 2019 Update) or Windows 11 x64
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 (3.7GHz) or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (3.7GHz) or better
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (with 6 GB VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (with 8 GB VRAM) or better
  • Free Storage: 150GB (SSD recommended)
  • And it’s not written, but because of Denuvo, it’s an internet connection

Recommended system requirements – 1440p resolution, 30fps frame rate:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 x64 (at least with the November 2019 Update) or Windows 11 x64
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K (3.7GHz) or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.7GHz) or better
  • Memory: 24 GB RAM
  • Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 3070 (with 8 GB VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (with 12 GB VRAM) or better
  • Free Storage: 150 GB (on SSD)
  • Internet connection

Ultra – 4K Resolution, 60fps Framerate System Requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 x64 (at least with the November 2019 Update) or Windows 11 x64
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5800X (3.8GHz) or better
  • Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 4080 (with 16 GB VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (with 16 GB VRAM) or better
  • Free Storage: 150 GB (on SSD)
  • Internet connection

So at least 16GB of RAM, which is hair-raising (especially 150GB of space), and is that just enough for 720p? Not to mention the lack of a GTX 3070 and 4080, they specifically described them that way for the first time, so it’s not like they care about the PC crowd (but they need the money). Forspoken launches January 24th for PlayStation 5 and PC (steamAnd Epic Games StoreAnd Microsoft Store). In the meantime, the PlayStation 5 demo has been improved (button assignment can be changed, some text sizes have been extended, opponents leaving the screen are targeted longer, technical bugs have been fixed).
