According to the report of the Ultra Running Committee of the Hungarian Athletics Federation (MASZ), a total of 19 teams scored points in the Hungarian Ultra Running Championships this year.
Balatonfüred Sports Club (BAC) has become the most successful club in the country in terms of ultra running. BAC athletes have accumulated a total of 100 points in various senior tournaments, finishing first with a respectable lead. ELTE’s second team Sashegyi Gepárdok scored 68 points, while the third Magyar Futósport SE scored 26 points in 2022.
As for the individual results, Peda Zabolcs (ELTE Sashegyi Gepárdok) was the best among the men with 31 points, Tibor Eris (Pomázi sprint champion, 12 points) finished second and Simon Gheorghe (Békéscsabai AC, 11 points) finished third. Balent Peleg Fkete finished fourth with 10 points.
Among the women, one BAC player took the prestigious position: Ignácz Marietta collected for herself and her association 15 points. Her clubmate Krisztina Megyeri finished behind her with 12 points, and third place went to Zsanet Horn (Esztergom Running Tracks) and Szvetlána Zétényi (Békéscsabai AC), both of whom scored 11 points.
