Samsung promised 3 major version updates and 4 years of security fixes for the Galaxy S20 phones released in early 2020, so in principle support for the devices would have ended by now, but the manufacturer decided not to stop updates yet.
From the beginning, we have to upset the owners, the last major update for the Galaxy S20 phones was Android 13, originally they were not going to get Android 14, and this has not changed according to our current information. However, by now, the time for security updates and other fixes is over, as it has been 4 years since its release.
However, Samsung will not leave the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra alone, they will receive smaller updates, albeit not monthly, but quarterly. They did not mention the exact duration, but we are confident that the original support period will be postponed for at least one year.
It is not yet known what will happen with the Galaxy S20 FE. This was released a little later, in October 2020, so you now still receive monthly security patches, but it's questionable whether there will be an extension in the fall. Android 14 is not expected for this either, as the phone was released with Android 10 just like its peers and has been updated to Android 13.
