We still don’t know the ocean world completely, once scientists start looking for an area, they always find something new – recently, a previously unknown feature about octopuses was revealed.
They discovered another slice of a special world of cephalopods, which surprised even researchers. They are building very exciting things in the depths of the ocean.
Octopuses build cities
It turns out that octopuses have created underwater “cities”. Until now, they were known to be exceptionally intelligent animals, having roughly the intelligence of a three-year-old.
In Jervis Bay, eastern Australia, the Sydney octopus (Octopus Tetricus) Two groups created a real small commune, one to Octopolisthe other to Octlantis his name was.
Here, cephalopods live in specially designed burrows, and use shells to construct them. Sometimes they chase each other out of their little corners to drive them out of their ‘apartment’.
