Felcsúti’s billion-dollar interests didn’t even fit into the top ten.
With an estimated value of 408.3 billion Hungarian forints, MPF Holding has become the most valuable family company – as it turns out From Forbes list.
The main shareholder of the Swiss-based group is Zsolt Velsoti, who has for years been considered one of the richest Hungarians with a fortune of about $286.4 billion. Incidentally, the company actually ranked first on the list last year.
György Gattyán’s company Docler Holding took second place with an estimated value of 361.2 billion Hungarian forints. The Bonafarm group led by Sándor Csányi came in third place. The value of the latter was estimated at 320.4 billion Hungarian forints. With a value of $257.7 billion, Videoton ranked fourth, while Dayton-Invest Kft, owned by Tibor Ferris, came in fifth.
By the way, no Mészáros company managed to make it into the top ten. Talentis Group Zrt, which deals with asset management, became the most valuable at $87.8 billion – all the way up to 16th place. It came in twenty-eighth place (with a value of $38.2 billion).
