They welcomed Olympic and Paralympic athletes from the MVM Szeged Water Sports Association. A total of seven athletes from Szeged took part in these two world events, a historic success. In addition, of course, the work of the coaches, professional and support staff was also recognized.
Olympic participant:
- Bence Nadas (Men's 500m Double Kayak, Silver)
- Agnes Kiss (Women's Single Dinghy 200m, 11th; Women's Double Dinghy 500m, 4th)
- Nagi Bianca (Women's 500m Double Canoe, 4th place)
- Istvan Koli (Men's Kayak 4x500m, 7th)
Paralympic participant:
- Katalin Varga (KL2 200m, 4th place)
- Buldisar Dalma (KL2 200m, 11th place)
- Robert Soba (KL1 200m, 4th place; VL2 200m, 5th place)
A short film was shown at the reception summarizing the finals and the results of the people of Szeged. Bence Nadas told our newspaper at the event that he had watched the silver medal final several times, but

Kalman Petrovic, President of the Water Sports Federation MVM Szeged, began his speech by saying:
Mission accomplished.
He stressed that it has been an amazing journey, with a lot of work put in by all the athletes, coaches, board members and everyone who helped.
The President also stressed that great attention was paid to the athletes until the last moment, who need maximum performance to be present at such a global event.
Seven participants: This is a great result and a great success, behind which there is amazing work.
Kalman Petrovic said that MVM Szeged VE concluded a successful year and Olympic Games. He called the association's athletes the best champions and role models. He stressed that the club owes great thanks for these achievements.
