Szijjártó announced that the Hungarian Embassy has returned to Kyiv

In a video posted on Facebook, the foreign and foreign ministers said that after the opening session of parliament he will go to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, where “important talks await us.”

Upon check-in from the airport, he said that, like other EU countries, it was decided to temporarily move the Hungarian embassy in Lviv to the Ukrainian capital, given the continuous improvement of the security situation in Kyiv.

Peter Szijjarto confirmed that the security conditions were appropriate for this. The operation of the embassy in Kyiv is reasonable, so they can keep in touch with the Ukrainian government bodies and provide assistance to Hungarian citizens or other EU citizens as needed.

He added that the physical part of the transfer took place over the weekend, and now the Hungarian embassy has returned to Kyiv.
