Tatra won a Red Dot award for its Tatra Force design

For the first time in its history, Tatra Trucks has twice won the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category. The latest third-generation Tatra Force has been honored with one of the most prestigious awards in the field of design. The four-door cab version was offered, as well as a version of the popular e-Drive development line with an electric motor and hydrogen fuel cells.

The Red Dot Award, also referred to as the “Designers' Oscar,” has been awarded annually since 1955 for product and communications design, in Germany. The celebrations will take place in Essen, home of the Red Dot Museum. The award is awarded based on the evaluation of dozens of independent experts.

“The jury evaluated the Tatra Force four-door cab and Tatra Force e-Drive two-door trucks based on digital presentations and personal inspection of the trucks live in Essen, where we brought them for display. The jury evaluated the overall concept from a vehicle design point of view, i.e. Not only the exterior solution, but also the interior design has succeeded in this design competition and so the producers' award is even more valuable for us, and also indicates the thoughtful design of both the four-door and two-door versions, as well as the longevity and quality of the interior. – said Radomir Smolka, member of the Board of Directors of Tatra Trucks responsible for development projects. And search.

The manufacturer unveiled the third-generation Tatra Force model line for the first time at the Pyros trade show in the middle of last year. Firefighting versions were introduced first, followed in the fall by the Tatra Force e-Drive FCEV, an electric tractor with a tipper body equipped with hydrogen fuel cells. Additional versions for different sectors – for example for the army – will soon appear and the new generation of the Tatra Force series will soon become one of the pillars of the company's production. The third generation of Tatra Force vehicles was created in the company's construction department by a team led by Radomír Smolka in collaboration with industrial designer Lukáš Taneček. He has already won a Red Dot Award and was involved in the design of the second generation of the Tatra Tactic model series. Therefore, it is not surprising that at Tatra he was entrusted with the development of new vehicles for the Power series.
