The physical version of the new Zelda game has surpassed Hogwarts Legacy’s best-selling game to date, and it could easily be the best-selling game of the year.
The game was only released on Friday, but The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been the subject of international press all weekend, either because of the hundreds of meters long queues, or the 94-minute speed, or because of that. It was called the best game of all time.

At the same time, Nintendo itself sees a slowdown in console sales and has no plans to release a new console this year, despite the game’s success.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12th exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
