Facebook is already testing a new feature that allows group admins to create a subgroup that can be joined for a set fee.

According to the announcement, the solution will allow group admins to earn revenue by selling and charging products, as well as asking for money to join.
The company announced the novelty at its annual Community Summit, which it says will help the group of creators sustain the community they are building. The first two solutions aren’t really new, we’ve already come across them in other parts of Facebook, but the subscription group is a new one.
You don’t have to pay specifically for group membership here. According to Facebook, admins can create an exclusive subgroup within groups and dictate how much users can do in return. Therefore, the company says that in return, members can access higher quality content or longer conversations.
Facebook is testing this feature at the moment, and plans to only slowly make it available to admins, so it will take some time for us to meet it. One of the main reasons for this is that this solution should not be abused – to hide the paid content that is not allowed on the social site behind walls – but at the same time there will certainly be people who abuse this opportunity.
