Apple introduced a brand new product line at this year’s developer conference. It looks like mixed reality glasses will have to make changes for iPhones, too.

Whenever Apple introduces something, it’s worth paying attention to, and that was also the case with its mixed reality (AR/VR) glasses, the Vision Pro: it’s been at the top of tech news for a long time (we’ve read about it several times here).

It recently appeared in a new context: it will bring changes to the next iPhones, specifically for seamless collaboration. This means hardware upgrades. There is nothing surprising in all this, Apple has already tried to connect its products that are on several different platforms.

Apple may soon introduce Wi-Fi 7 and UWB (Ultra Wideband) technology in upcoming iPhone reviews and reports GizmochinaQuoted by famous Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo. claims new ku in his Twitter post, that the upgrade to a UWB processor (currently called the U1 chip by Apple) is part of a plan to “aggressively update hardware specifications to build a more competitive Vision Pro ecosystem.” The aforementioned technologies help phones work better with Vision Pro glasses.

According to Kuo, even the iPhone 15 can get a UWB update. The manufacturing technology has changed from 16 nm to the more advanced 7 nm, which allows for better performance and/or reduced power consumption during close interactions. While the new chip will also help update many existing features like AirDrop, Find My, and more, its main advantage will be better integration with the Vision Pro.

According to Kuo, the iPhone 16 will be the first iPhone to include Wi-Fi 7. This wireless technology will provide faster speeds and provide several other benefits. (According to the Wi-Fi Alliance, Wi-Fi 7 is considered the next generation of Wi-Fi technology and is expected to deliver speeds “at least 30Gbps, but can reach 40Gbps. Indispensable” for better real-world experiences Virtual and Augmented Reality In general, we can even expect the technology to offer better integration across multiple platforms.

Although Apple introduced its mixed reality glasses at the beginning of June, it did not reveal all the details of the hardware specifications. The glasses are expected to be released early next year, and Apple is said to be planning to introduce a more affordable model by the end of 2025.
