After a working dinner with the French president, Viktor Orbán traveled to Buenos Aires on Friday to participate in the inauguration of the new Argentine president, who campaigned with a chainsaw. Bertalan Havasi stated earlier that the Hungarian Prime Minister congratulated Javier Miley by phone upon his election, and the new president invited him to attend the inauguration ceremony on December 10.

Javier Miley, the TV star-turned-politician and liberal far-right, won Argentina’s presidential election in November with more than 55% of the vote, promising to end inflation, the peso and the national bank. Many have compared Javier Miley, who used a chainsaw at campaign events, to Donald Trump and Jane Bolsonaro. It is not a coincidence that the former US president was one of the first to congratulate Miley on his victory, saying: Miley is “making Argentina great again.”
Incidentally, Miley, nicknamed Crazy, once called Pope Francis, who is of Argentine descent, a “communist idiot.”
The court banned former Brazilian President Bolsonaro from running for elections for eight years last June, according to the court, because he abused his power before the 2022 presidential elections.
