We will restore confidence in the Council. We will follow a broad conservative political line, oppose the harmful policies of the Biden administration and support our allies abroad
– Johnson announced after the vote in which 220 deputies to 209 supported him on the basis of party political interests.
In a letter to colleagues, Johnson pledged to bring forward the long-awaited spending legislation, ensuring the government does not shut down on November 17 when the temporary budget expires.
