Now that the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset has been officially unveiled, smartphone manufacturers have also started announcing their high-end devices using the new hardware platform. Asus has also joined the queue, announcing the arrival date of the ROG Phone 9 series.
The next edition of the Taiwanese manufacturer's popular gaming series will be revealed on November 19 at 12:00 CET. Asus has also published official renders of the smartphone's design, which at first glance looks exactly like the previous generation.
On the back, you can see an elongated penta-camera island with three photo modules, ROG branding and unique LED lighting.
The front panel is dominated by a flat display with a hole housing the selfie camera. Pressure-sensitive AirTrigger triggers are placed on the right frame of the phone, which also bears ROG branding. Under the slogan “Turn on AI, turn on the game”, the manufacturer also promises new AI functions alongside the hardware, but they have not been detailed yet.
Upgrading the resolution and increasing the frame rate – we can expect similar things in the case of a gaming mobile phone. We still have a little time until November 19, and until then they will certainly announce a few hardware capabilities so that interest and excitement do not wane for a moment.
