Gabor Pavković, Mayor of Mohacs, received the Baranja Economic Prize, as as city manager, he manages the economic development of the region and initiates and supports investments that preserve and create jobs. The port serves the development of the county as a whole, the development of the Mohács-Danube Bridge, the M6 motorway and the dedicated drive for the Mohács 500 programme. The Corporate Club of Mohács which it organizes, and the sporting and cultural communities it supports, all enhance the city and its surroundings.
Körber Hungária Kft., which offers a wide range of services in the field of equipment and machinery manufacturing and employs more than a thousand employees, received the PEX Economy Award.
Zoltan Tesarek, Managing Director of Anderson Group Hungary Kft., was honored. From Kumlo, he received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and Gyula Varsije, a construction mechanical engineer and businessman, received the Életmű Award. Balázs Čerki, President of South Transdanubia Machinery Group, and István Rebzam, CEO of Mecsekerdő Zrt., received Presidential Certificates of Merit. Gabor Wieczencz, Plant Manager Warema Sun Shading Systems Hungary Kft. VBex, which manufactures shades and control systems, was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Dr. Ferenc Fedor received the Chamber Council Member Commendation, and Eniko Schmidt received the Chamber Council Member Commendation.
The Directorate of the Danube-Drava National Park was honored with the Baranja Tourism Award, because its ongoing and amazing developments, guided tours, children's programmes, educational lectures, events and nature photography programs contribute significantly to the diversity and continuous development of the local tourism offer.
The Baranja Vocational Training Award was awarded to professional photographer András Pésti, master chef Zoltan Mesita, member of the Chamber's Vocational Training Committee, and the non-profit Informaticai Agazazi Képzőközpont Kft.Kronospan-Mofa Hungary Kft. Christina Szocs received the Dr. Karoly Zarai Award this year.
The Retailer of the Year award was awarded to the Pécs Basket Association, which provides a service bridging the gap between the supply side of producers and the demand side of the population in creating, maintaining and expanding a dynamic supply chain. Attila Wagner, Managing Director of Sella&Decor Kft. In Mohacs, which produces office furniture, received the Mohacs Economic Prize. The Komlo Economy Prize was awarded to CH.Schneider Kft., the Szigetvár Economy Prize was awarded to GLT Szigetvár Kft., and the Siklós Economy Prize was awarded to the Mayor of Siklós, Gábor Riegel.
