The body of a high-ranking Ukrainian intelligence officer was found in his office with a gunshot wound to the head

Investigating the Attack on Nord Stream: All the Evidence Points to Kiev – Published under the title German Spiegel is ZDF He referred to an investigative article with the Public Broadcasting Corporation 444.

According to the article, the bombs could have been placed on the Nord Stream gas pipeline from the Andromeda, an old, rickety, smelly, 75-horsepower diesel ship. According to the newspaper, Andromeda would have been an excellent camouflage: According to the results of the investigation so far, a team of divers and sappers rented Andromeda almost a year ago. According to the newspaper, all indications point to Ukraine standing behind the action that took place on September 26 of last year, which Germany described as an “attack on the internal security of the state.”

Spiegel’s article also shows that there are many questions in the case, mainly because no material from the investigation could be revealed, and the investigation itself is currently underway against the unknown perpetrator.

Spiegel and ZDF hired more than two dozen journalists over the course of six months to track down the evidence. The result took me in many directions, from the Republic of Moldova to the United States, from Stockholm to Kiev, and from Prague to Romania and France. The paper also notes that all evidence now points to Kiev: however, many informants and politicians believe the bombing could have been a “false flag” operation – an attack that appears deliberately to have been carried out by someone else. “All the signs point very clearly to Kiev (…) and it seems too perfect to be true,” adds Spiegel, also introducing this site.

01. Rent

The investigative article revealed, among other things, that the ship could be easily rented with a deposit of 1,500 euros. The Andromeda was paid for by a travel agency in Warsaw in the name of a 54-year-old woman from Kiev at the time. from the attack. The ship was taken with a Romanian passport, but the passport was fake, the name and photo did not match. The photo was finally identified by the police and, according to the article, likely shows a man from Dnipro, Valery K., who is currently serving in Ukraine, in the 93rd Mechanized Brigade.

02. Condition

The ship docked in Wake on September 7, and workers here saw five men and a woman on board. Andromeda then disappeared, ending up near the explosion days later. Then the ship headed to Poland, and then back to Germany. Three days before the bombing they brought the Andromeda back to the port of Rostock, handed over the key and left: why had they not sunk the ship with the relics, as the article says, they would have found it sooner. At first, the police were looking for suspicious evidence after the explosion, and thus the Andromeda was just one yacht among many.

03. Germany would be hurt if it were Ukraine

Before the explosion, Dutch military intelligence sent a message to German intelligence, in which the classified material stated that an attack on Nord Stream – six Ukrainian soldiers, with false identities and charter ships – had been planned, without Zelensky’s knowledge. The warning stated that the explosion was planned during NATO exercises, but since the message arrived after the exercise – and the Germans thought it contained a lot of inaccurate information – German intelligence did not act.

However, this could create a difficult situation for German diplomacy: Germany could not ignore an attack of this kind, but it could not suspend Kiev’s support for Russia. The motives are clear, and the evidence points to Ukraine. Although there are theories that Russia orchestrated it all, there are pros and cons. However, according to Spiegel’s article, Russia was aware of the attack. On the other hand, according to its own admission, the government of Ukraine does not do this either.

US and German investigations have also previously concluded that the Nord Stream explosion may be linked to Ukraine – we wrote about this in detail here.
