The Joker from Florida has spoken to his lawyers and wants to see five million dollars from a GTA development company.
The announcement video for Grand Theft Auto VI sparked numerous pop culture phenomenons, as the Florida Joker is also known from the trailer, which reached 161 million views after three weeks. Stunning-looking Lawrence Sullivan got his ten minutes of fame in 2017, and a photo of his arrest spread across social media after he was taken under the wing of the Miami justice system on charges of brandishing a firearm.
Shortly after the trailer was released, the man logged on to TikTok and asked for $2 million from Rockstar. The compensation is justified for two reasons: on the one hand, he believes that his likeness was offended, and on the other hand, they attack him in public by saying that he looks like the character from the GTA VI trailer, although he is the real Florida Joker, but the look that appears in the video is an imitation. .
So far, Rockstar Games hasn't provided an answer for Sullivan, so it's come up with a new request on TikTok: It's already asking for $5 million for the reasons detailed above, and is waiting for an answer until his birthday in the middle of the year. January. If nothing happens, file a lawsuit.
Rockstar and the game's publisher Take-Two, which serves as its parent company, are not taking on the Florida Joker out of sheer arrogance: although he could have been the inspiration for the character seen in the trailer, their fictional character is different from his. So much so that Grand Theft cannot be accused of abusing the image of the Auto VI developers.
As a related point of interest, this wouldn't be the first dispute of this kind, as a few years ago Lindsay Lohan was also unable to seek compensation from Rockstar after she believed a GTA V character had been stolen.
