Everyone should be thankful that Megan Fox and Jean-Claude Van Damme “just” got into the game.
As expected, Mortal Kombat 1 has managed to garner several accolades, and the latest installment in the fighting game series has been loved by fans who either spin the story, play the invasion mode, or compete online. Overall, NetherRealm has dropped a nice little kit into our laps, although it does have a flaw or two.
These include Megan Fox’s portrayal of Nitara, and given her performance, we wish she hadn’t done that. The actress’s performance is miles weaker than that of professional dubbing actors, which is why half the world hates the character.
The really sad thing about this is that Ed Boon at one point wanted to call every fighter a famous actor. Basically, it was just a wishful dream, but it’s terrible even for that.

the Rolling stonesDuring his interview, Jean-Claude Van Damme’s name came up for Johnny Cage (who eventually became Skin), and Keanu Reeves’ name for Kenshi. Unfortunately, Van Damme isn’t very convincing, but when we’re not playing with the alternate look, Andrew Bowen plays Cage flawlessly. As for Keanu, he could be hired, but we all know what limited Ed Boon’s dream: money and time.
It was very difficult to match recordings to the stars’ schedules, and all the money in the world wasn’t enough to pay for their gas. For that, we can all be exceptionally thankful now.
