A handball hall is being built to serve as a training center by the Nagyzombat District Municipality, which is maintained by it, next to the Unified School in Donaszerdahely, in order to improve sporting opportunities for high school students.

“It is important for us to expand sports opportunities and a healthy lifestyle for the population, which is why we decided to build a handball hall, as this sport has a long tradition in the city. It will serve as a training center for students and the public can also use it,” county president Jozef Viskubic announced. The province announced a public tender to implement the project documents. “Women’s handball already has a serious tradition in Donaszerdahely, and the hall contributes to promoting the local development of this sport,” added school director László Szabó.
The district plans to deliver three renovated sports fields in Nagyszombat, Galgóc (Hlohovec) and Pöstyén (Piešťany) in the coming days, in addition to the new gymnasium at Ladislav Dúbrava High School in Dunaszerdahely and the renovated sports field in the business district.
