For months, rumors have been circulating that the Galaxy S25 phones may cost a higher percentage of Exynos chips than before. However, popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported the opposite in his latest post. According to the expert, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset found in the members of the Galaxy S25 series will perform the calculations in all regions involved in sales.
Samsung's next internally developed chipset running in the flagship category will be the Exynos 2500, which according to the analyst produces a lower-than-expected yield on 3nm production lines. So Qualcomm will be the sole chipset supplier for the Galaxy S25 models.
In practical terms, this means that the Galaxy S25 models will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, and the device will be unveiled in October. By the way, it actually happens that all Galaxy S series devices have a high-end Snapdragon processor inside them, like the Galaxy S23 models, which by the way performed well.
However, with the Galaxy S24 product line, Samsung has returned to its old strategy of selling phones with Exynos chipsets in some markets and Snapdragon chipsets in others. Here in Europe, the Exynos chip powers the Galaxy S24 and S24+, and the Snapdragon chip is only used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Although Ming-Chi Kuo's predictions usually turn out to be correct, since we're still months away from the debut of the Samsung Galaxy S25 phones, it's worth taking this information with reservations. But if the analyst is right, we can offer good news to all those who want to buy a new Galaxy S series mobile phone only if it is again equipped with a Snapdragon chipset: they may be able to do so when the Galaxy S25 arrives, and not just with the Ultra model. .
