The Exynos processor version of the Galaxy S25 is more economical and potentially more powerful

Samsung has had issues with its top Exynos chipsets in the past few generations. They were simply unable to match the performance and power efficiency of high-end models, but at the same time, this year's model has already shown a lot of development work. The latest rumors are very bold indeed, claiming that the next high-end Exynos chip will be able to beat Qualcomm's next flagship chip in terms of power efficiency and perhaps raw computing power, meaning the Galaxy S25 series could change the trend.

A leaker on Twitter, or now X, claims so The Exynos 2500 will be a much better competitor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 than beforeBe it raw performance or even energy efficiency. Although this year's Exynos 2400 keeps up well with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Samsung still has room for improvement compared to its big American rival.

According to the news, it will improve, the Exynos 2500 for example It is actually manufactured using a 3nm manufacturing processwhile the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 remains with the previous 4nm technology, and this will be an advantage for the South Korean manufacturer.

We know that in the case of the Galaxy S25 mobiles, the shared hardware will remain, that is, some devices will come with Exynos and the other part with Snapdragon processors (depending on the region). However, compared to this year, Samsung can use its own devices to a greater extent.

According to previous reports, Samsung will prepare two types of flagship chipsets next year. One of them will be called Exynos 2500-A, will be equipped with an 8-core CPU and will be used in smartphones. The other will be the Exynos 2500-B, with a 10-core CPU configuration, and this version will be designed specifically to be installed on Galaxy Book tablets and laptops. Of course, this could still change, since the Exynos 2400 in the Galaxy S24 phones also has 10 cores.

There were also previous rumors that Samsung might use Google's Tensor processing unit, which it will use instead of its own NPU. With this component, Samsung will enhance the capabilities of artificial intelligence, but whether this component will actually be used, it cannot be concretely determined at the moment. Let's say that given the good relationship between the search giant and the South Koreans, there is a good chance that this collaboration will happen.
