Oppo unveiled its latest bendable device, the Flip Find N3 Flip design. Compared to last year’s model, the camera array has been significantly updated, which now consists of three image recording units, a first in the history of clamshell mobile phones with a flexible display.
The smartphone cameras were developed and tuned in collaboration with the Hasselblad team. The primary image capture unit is a 24mm 50MP focal length unit with 1.0µm pixels, optical image stabilization, and f/1.8 aperture.
We also get a 48MP ultra wide angle camera that scans the surroundings at an angle of 114 degrees, as well as a 47mm 32MP image module capable of 2x optical zoom.
The external screen is still 3.26 inches, also based on AMOLED technology, but it is capable of much more than before. Find N3 Flip owners can run all kinds of apps and tools on it without having to unlock the device. Support for several music, social and navigation apps was also announced at the launch presentation.
Inside the bendable smartphone is the cutting-edge MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset, along with LPDDR5X RAM modules and UFS 4.0 storage. Also new is the new mute switch, which, like the OnePlus phones, has three positions.
Other important features are the same as on last year’s Find N2 Flip. The size of the bendable smartphone screen is 6.8 inches, it is of type LTPO AMOLED, with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels, with an adaptive refresh rate adjustable between 1 and 120 Hz. The panel has Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), and the maximum screen brightness can reach 1600 nits.
Find N3 Flip runs ColorOS 13.2 based on the Android 13 operating system. A 4300mAh battery is installed inside the device, which supports 44W wired fast charging.
The Find N3 Flip will be available in black, gold and pink colours. The 12/256 GB configuration costs 330 yuan, and the 12/512 GB package costs 369,000 HUF.
The bendable smartphone is now available for pre-order in China, and open sales are scheduled to begin on September 8. The manufacturer did not give details about the international prices of the device, but it promised to launch the smartphone globally.
