The first Lucid SUV has arrived with a range of 708 kilometers

From a driving point of view, nowadays, the SUV form is one that can’t be beat, and if it could even be paired with an advanced electric motor, success would almost certainly be guaranteed. It can be appreciated that despite this, the American company Lucid Motors designed a sedan for its first car. The high-end brand’s efforts were not without results, but there were and still are a certain amount of problems.

But what is certain is that Lucid is well established and developments are constantly progressing, which is now showing another tangible result. As the first (and at the same time second) SUV model of the brand Gravity SUV his name was

The demo was presented at the AutoMobility LA event, one of Lucid’s favorite events. Lucid has been preparing for today’s reveal for years, and with this next chapter, it wants to address a broader audience of American consumers. Incidentally, the recently introduced Gravity SUV was not recently conceived in the minds of decision-makers, as the type had already appeared at the end of the 2021 Air premiere.

Since everyone is interested in these things anyway, let’s take a look at the main milestones. However, these reservations should be taken into account until the series begins production next year, and according to Lucid, they are also for the full versions:

  • Range: Up to 708 km (440 miles – Lucid Motors estimate)
  • Maximum DC charging power: 350 kW (320 km in 15 minutes, on a compatible charger)

  • Towing capacity: 2,721 kg (6,000 lb)

The factory wheel size can range from 20 to 22 inches, and the passenger compartment will also have a really pleasant atmosphere, as you can feel just by looking at the photo below. The 34-inch curved OLED display, referred to as the “Clearview Cockpit,” now extends continuously in front of the driver:
