The Boys series, which continues this summer, has received its first new preview.
The creators of The Boys have never been so sophisticated, breaking the classic superhero taboo, just as the original Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson comics did last year. In this world, men and women with supernatural abilities are not just fallen angels, there are real bastards among them.
The series will be released on Amazon Prime Video in June of this year It’s getting its third seasonIt was previously revealed that superstar Jensen Ackles will play Soldier Boy, and Laurie Holden, best known from The Walking Dead, will play Crimson Countess. We can see both of them in the new teaser trailer.
It’s a heavily age-limited preview, with bloodshed and entrails fluttering in it, but perhaps this kind of embellishment shouldn’t be made for those who watched the first two seasons – those who didn’t get too bold, it really isn’t an everyday series. It really looks like everyone’s Billy Butcher will have special abilities in Chapter Three, too.
The similarities are pretty obvious, Soldier Boy is clearly a parody of Captain America, and Countess Crimson is spoofing the character of the Scarlet Witch. They’re members of the superhero team called Payback anyway – yes, and that’s a nod to the Avengers.
The third season of The Boys will premiere on Prime Video on June 3, 2022.
