Netflix released the first trailer for the upcoming film Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story.
Comedy stars Jerry Seinfeldwho also directed and produced the film, is about a 1960s battle between cereal companies Kellogg's and Post to produce the next big breakfast product.
First announced in 2021 and described as “a story of ambition, betrayal, drunkenness and threatening milkmen,” the film was inspired by a joke Seinfeld told in a stand-up years earlier.

As posted on X Back in 2018 he expressed his desire to make a film like this, writing: “At one point I was thinking of inventing the Pop-Tart movie. Imagine drunk on Kellogg's sugar-powered cereal culture in the mid-1960s in Battle Creek., MI. This is A feeling that I can work with.”
Well, that ambition has become a reality, with a voiceover in the trailer setting the scene: “In the early 1960s, the American morning was characterized by milk and cereal, and the undisputed giants of the cereal world were Kellogg's and Post.”
The new clip shows a TV ad that Post has created a “shelf-stable fruit pastry breakfast product,” as Kellogg's sees the news and races to try to do the same, with a raucous set of events to follow as a battle for breakfast. Excellence happens.
The entertaining trailer also shows off the incredibly star-studded cast joining Seinfeld in the upcoming film, which is coming to Netflix in May.
