SPö Democratic Socialist has received the largest number of votes in the Vienna municipal elections on Sunday, so Mayor Michael Ludwig can continue to lead the city. However, while SPö voting rate has deteriorated by 3 percentage points since the last elections, the FPö has doubled its results three times in the Austrian capital.
In the 2020 elections, the party received only 7 percent of votes, but now, according to the first summary, it will be 20 percent, making it the second most powerful party at the general meeting.
Social Democrats received 39 percent of the votes. Ludwig has already stated that it is considered that it is unlikely that FPö, led by Herbert Kiel, may lead the city in a coalition. SPö has been governing Vienna in Vienna with the liberal Neos party, which has received 10 percent. The potential partner can be in third place with 15 percent of the sounds.

Of the results, the Freedom Party appears to have received the largest number of votes from the Austrian People’s Party (övp), while the right -wing party received 20 percent of the votes in 2020, with a result of less than 10 percent.
