The game developers were satisfied with the errors caused by Intel processors!

Technology News – Even though the next generation of CPUs will be released soon (which also comes with a completely different naming scheme, so you still have to learn that…), developers have snowshoes full of Intel's 13th and 14th generation processors.

The latest Intel processors are not a stable thing, which is why developers have to warn players that their game, or even their entire PC, can crash due to manufacturing defects (we won’t go into details about the problem here: faulty microcode, and in the case of the 13th generation, moreover, oxidation – that’s all we’ll say in brief). Alderon Games, the developers of Path of Titans (a dinosaur survival MMO), specifically uses an in-game error message to warn players on affected CPUs about potential problems.

The error message tells us that the game crashed, specifies the type of processor (in the picture it is Intel Core i7-13700K), the processor has problems with modern Unreal Engine 5 games that lead to this, and if we press the Yes button, we get information about the problem. CPUs i7 and i9 are affected, but also low-consumption Ts models. The game or application gives up when the voltage rises significantly.

Path of Titans runs on Unreal Engine 5.3, and ModelFarm’s UE admin also said that the i9-13/14900K processors have a failure rate of up to 50%, which is why developers are considering switching to AMD. Alderon Games has admitted that it is selling the affected CPUs because the failure rate has reached 100% in the last 3-4 months, which significantly reduces the lifespan of the processors. Even Warframe developers (Digital Extremes) and Unreal Engine manufacturer Epic Games have acknowledged the bug, and have provided a temporary fix for the problem.

As a result, AMD is holding back on its Ryzen 9000 processors a bit, but it also admitted that it found bugs in the first batch of manufacturers, so it will be a bit late… But let's face it, the “red” are currently in a very winning position!
