The Hungarian water polo team got a big scalp

Bíró Attila, a magyar válogatott szövetségi kapitánya és a játékosok a budapesti vízilabda Európa-bajnokság női tornájának csoportkörében játszott Magyarország – Görögország mérkőzésen a Duna Arénában 2020. január 17-én.

The Hungarian national team achieved a remarkable 10-8 victory over European champions Spain in the quarter-finals of the Women’s World Water Polo Championships in Athens.

Among the four, Attila Peru will meet the winner of the Canada-Kazakhstan confrontation on Friday.

Although the Hungarians defeated the Japanese in the group stage, they were defeated by the Russians and Canadians, so the world championship silver medalists were waiting for them among the eight. The match was won by Fed captain Atilla Peru preparing for the Tokyo Olympics, playing the best match of the tournament so far, and already had a four-goal advantage in the fourth quarter.
