The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia officially announced its participation in the 2034 World Cup

On Monday, Saudi Arabia officially announced its intention to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

“Last week we announced our ambitions to host the event in 2034 and this official submission takes us further on our path to realizing our people’s dream.” – said Jasser Al-Meshal, head of the country’s Football Association, who added that so far seventy national federations have supported the Saudi bid.

Countries belonging to the Asian and Oceania Confederations can apply for the World Cup scheduled after 11 years, as in 2026 the United States, Canada and Mexico, that is, the North and Central American region, will host World Football, while the 2030 Army Review will be hosted by Spain. Portugal and Morocco awarded a match to Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay, so there will be meetings on three continents.

FIFA is awaiting official applications from interested parties until next October 31, and the final application must be submitted next July. In addition to Saudi Arabia, Australia is interested in the 2034 event.
