F1 has announced that in November 2023, F1 will return to Las Vegas. The race will be light, but this is not the most special information about the race, but it will take place on Saturday local time.
In recent days, several sources have been broadcasting that they may soon announce that F1 will return to Las Vegas next year. This happened at dawn Thursday Hungarian time, so it’s official that with Austin and Miami, who debuted this year, there will be three fights in the US from 2023 onwards.
F1 has so far confirmed that the race will take place in November, but many have previously stated that the F1 arena will visit the most populous city in Nevada on Thanksgiving. What is certain is that the competition will remain in the spotlight, but this is not the most private data of the time.
For the first time in nearly 40 years, the F1 Grand Prix will be held on Saturday. In the early decades of F1, this happened a few times, as in the case of the first world championship race, the 1950 British Grand Prix, but we’ve gotten used to Sunday races lately. It is true that there will be no change in Hungary in this regard, as the competition will start on Sunday.
Formula 1 had visited Las Vegas in 1981 and 1982, but the attempt at that time was unsuccessful. The current line of 6 bends, which is 6.12 km long, passes around the famous hotels and casinos of the city. The track consists of three longer straight lines, a section with a quick turn and a section of skates. The maximum speed is expected to be 342 km/h and field members will cover 50 laps.
Also unique is that this time around, no separate company will take on the role of promoter, but Liberty Media, which owns F1, will sell the race in partnership with, among other things, subsidiary Live Nation Entertainment and the Las Vegas Congress and Tourism Authority. (LFCFA). Also in the announcement were Greg Maffi, Liberty Media, and Stefano Domenicali, F1 President and CEO.
Iconic Las Vegas and Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport, the perfect blend of speed and charm Mavi announced. Our demonstrated confidence in this unique opportunity is evidenced by the fact that we have partnered with Live Nation to take on the promotional role at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. We couldn’t be more excited to work with our local partners to create a great event. The potential in Formula 1 has been demonstrated over the past few seasons, and he will take the Las Vegas Grand Prix to the next level.”
“Domenicali started a great moment for Formula 1 to show the immense gravity and growth of our sport with the third American race. – Las Vegas is a world-famous destination for its excitement, warm hospitality, and of course, the famous strip. There is no better place for Formula 1 than the world’s entertainment capital, and we can’t wait to be here next year.”
