a Capcom Posted not long ago appearing Resident Evil Village Official device requirements. But the publisher, breaking many years of tradition, has not set simple minimums and requirements for a recommended machine.
Instead, they approached it in terms of what the players might prefer. In light of this, a need for a machine where better performance is the goal is revealed, as well as another where visual experience is a priority. Of course, we can safely translate all of this into our minimum and recommended machine requirements. Let’s do it!
Minimum machine requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
- Memory: 8 GB
- Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 560 4GB
- Ray Tracing Video Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit
- Expected performance: 1080p / 60fps if performance is prioritized in settings
Recommended machine requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16 GB
- Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
- Ray Tracing Video Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit
- Expected performance: 1080p / 60fps if visuals are prioritized in settings
The creators also revealed the average frame rate per second for their 4K video cards:
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (4K / 45 fps)
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 (4K / 60 fps)
- AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (4K / 45 fps)
- AMD Radeon RX 6800 (4K / 45 fps)
- AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (4K / 60fps)
Resident Evil Village will also support ray tracing on PCs with both Nvidia and AMD video cards. However, it is not yet known exactly what graphical effects will appear in reality.
Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. ■
