The MET Group is building another large solar power plant next to Kappa

The new solar power plant with a capacity of 23 megawatts will operate on an area of approximately 32 hectares, with more than 33 thousand solar panels. Located 200 kilometers from Budapest, the solar park is a new project development of the MET Group, which was launched after the Kabai Solar Park (KSP) began operations in 2021.

The announcement highlights: The interesting thing about the investment is that during the construction of the Kaba 2 solar power plant, the work of the project management team is supported by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The program analyzes image data taken by drones during the various stages of construction, and ensures that the work is consistent with the construction and schedule. Artificial intelligence also helps avoid potential errors, thus increasing the efficiency of operations.

Total installed solar capacity in Hungary capacity By February 1, it had reached 5,720 MW, of which the installed capacity of larger industrial-sized solar power plants above 50 kilowatts reached 3,379 MW.

Rapid growth also entails a significant need for system-level equalization as well as lower intraday electricity prices, which will also be discussed at Portfolio's Corporate Energy Management Conference on April 11. More details:
