“In the future, Hungary and the United States will resort to economic and commercial issues, based on good political relations,” Levity Magiaar, Minister of Foreign Affairs for Foreign Affairs, told MTI in Washington after his meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Christopher Landau.

“We have agreed that instead of ideological and political cooperation, we will focus on the economy, work in the coming years,” said Magiar.
He did not say exactly what they were discussing, but he said that “the new cooperation based on the list can result in tangible results in the short term in energy.” Also, negotiations topics included preparing the highest political meeting between the two countries.
“We are working on the vision of the American President and the Hungarian Prime Minister in the near future, to review a rich bilateral agenda, which will determine our relationship in the coming years,” said Magiar, who will also negotiate with the National Security Council officials at the White House on Friday.
