WHQL Certified Device Driver 551.86 has delivered a slew of new G-Sync compatible certifications.
NVIDIA has released WHQL signed driver 551.86, which provides a new or updated profile for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition and Portal with RTX.
Certification of FreeSync or Adaptive-Sync displays continued, thanks to which several new displays were added to the corresponding list. Specifically, we are talking about solutions called AOC Q27G4, Q27G20XM, ASUS PG32UCDM, VG259QR, C Odyssey G93SC.
The new package also brought bug fixes, which are detailed in the list below:
- Laptops with advanced Optimus technology can now properly wake from sleep mode if image rendering is forced on the dedicated GPU
- Fixed lag in Hitman 3 on Advanced Optimus laptops
- RTX Digital Vibrance now correctly detects Paint.NET as a supported application
- RTX HDR saturation and tone curve are now adjusted to Gamma 2.2 level

The device driver can be installed on Windows 10 64-bit (depending on hardware from the Fall Creators Update) and 11, GeForce 700 (Maxwell Architecture GPUs only), 900, 1000, 1600 (Super), and 2000 (Super). For 3000, 4000 and Titan series product users to use. Additionally, the driver includes PhysX driver version 9.21.0713. For portable GeForces, it depends on the laptop manufacturers' decision whether it is possible to install an official driver on the specific device.
