Until this year, a much better Factory software store may become widely available.
The Microsoft Store, which debuted in Windows 11, is a huge improvement over its predecessor in Windows 10, because it’s much nicer and better to use, plus it allows developers to release their classic software and tech games without any extra work.
Another good news is that Microsoft has also promised a new Store release for Windows 10, and there doesn’t seem to be much to look forward to after the Windows 10 November 2021 (21H2) Update. became available In the Release Preview channel of the Windows Insider public testing program.
Older Windows Android apps will not be installable from the Store, and this feature is exclusive to Windows 11.
It’s not yet clear if the revamped Microsoft Store and the major release of Windows 10 this fall will be available in parallel, but it wouldn’t be surprising if we had to wait a bit to get the new Store. Whatever the case, Windows 10 users will likely (cryingly) say goodbye to the old Software Store later this year.
