My Netflix, a new menu item, debuted today in the Netflix mobile app, which provides the largest streaming service with a series of options and add-ons. The new feature is already available as an update for iOS devices, and we can expect these new features.
My Netflix
The new menu tab is located in the lower right corner of the screen, and its most important purpose is to collect in one window all the previously performed activities that are most characteristic of our taste, and which may be important to us. This could be, for example, a
- downloads
- TV shows and movies you like
- My lists
- Watch previews
- reminder
- Keep watching, keep on showing
- Or only previously viewed program pages
The streaming provider simply calls the new function “one-stop custom management”, which overrides the downloads menu item used so far, and it really looks like this option is a custom information page divided into profiles, where you can find everything in one place. And at the bottom of the screen we can easily switch between the different profiles, and everything will be displayed based on the previous activity done by the selected interface.
In addition to the IOS version, a native Android app is also being prepared, which will be released at the beginning of August according to plans.
Edith Chow is the reporter in his blog post It encourages us to add as many films, series or other programs as possible to our own list, because with the help of this we will be able to expand the content in the My Netflix window, in which we can of course discover new films, although everything remains in the original. After all, nothing else will really change as the functionality comes out, so the usual recommendations will remain on the home page, with selectable categories and new titles on top of that, which we can arrange however we want, and from now on we can also expand our Netflix software library with them.
