Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will launch with the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Today, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green were launched in Japan on February 27, 1996, where they launched the hugely popular series, which is why the Pokémon Company regularly celebrates this anniversary with game announcements. That was when the cover dropped from last year’s Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as the recently debuted Pokémon Legends Arceus, we’re not left without an exciting anchor now.
But before we get to that point, let’s take a quick look at the businesses that were previously released but still had an active community that the company hasn’t forgotten about either. Pocket monsters from the Alola region, who have revealed Pokémon Sun and Moon in two versions, will arrive in Pokémon GO on March 1. Pokémon Unite will be even richer with new, more intense clashes today, and Pokémon Legends Arceus will receive a free upgrade (also today) that will keep players on mission.
The biggest stir in the tight quarter-hour broadcast is the announcement of the Pokemon duo Scarlett and Violet. Development is being carried out by Game Freak, and while there’s no exact release date yet, all we know is that it’s nearing the end of 2022. The outdoor adventure seems to be going down the path of trampling Pokémon Sword and Shield, based on a preview that also includes a deposit Live, and will also feature three new Pokemon (Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly).
If you don’t have enough Pokémon for this year, you’ll be glad to note that a new animated series is in the works and expected to be released this year. The story of this is set in the well-known Hisui region in Pokémon Legends Arcerus.
We still have something to tell you, you’ll find all the interesting stuff here!
