Under the decision of the European Football Association (UEFA) on Tuesday, the 2028 European Championship will be hosted jointly by the United Kingdom and Ireland, while the 2032 Continental Championship will be hosted jointly by Italy and Turkey.
Either way, UEFA announced the winner of the only remaining bid in the competition. Aleksander Ceferin, President of the European Football Association, announced the names of the countries hosting the tournaments that will be held in five and nine years, during a ceremony held at the Federation’s headquarters in the city of Nyon.
Turkey originally applied for the 2028 European Championship, but withdrew and applied with the Italians to participate in the event four years later.

The England national football team wants to qualify for the 2028 European Football Championship even if it becomes a co-host.
England will host the European Championship for the second time after 1996, and Italy for the third time after 1968 and 1980. The other host countries – Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland in 2028, and Turkey in 2032 – will also host the tournament. for the first time.
Meanwhile, according to the rules, the decision must be approved by the UEFA Executive Committee at its meeting on Tuesday. Germany will host the next European Championship in 2024.
