The POCO Pad competes among the giant tablets

Xiaomi's POCO brand recently unveiled the F6 and F6 Pro smartphones, along with a tablet called POCO Pad. If the device is familiar from somewhere online, your eyes will not deceive you, because the novelty is essentially a re-released version of the Redmi Pad Pro.

The POCO Pad tablet is equipped with a 12.1-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a display refresh rate of 120 Hz, and the IPS panel has a 12-bit color depth and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. According to the brand, the goal was for the tablet to be suitable for entertainment and work at the same time, which is why they decided on a 16:10 aspect ratio, which they believe is ideal for both activities.

Those who want to have a good time will certainly be happy with the four speakers with Dolby Atmos support, in addition to the Dolby Vision standard that the screen provides. Inside the tablet, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset continues to work, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It's not a problem if the tablet owner quickly outgrows the latter, because the device supports micro SD card expansion. A memory card with a capacity of up to 1.5 TB can be used for this purpose.

POCO Pad has a 10,000mAh battery, which can provide up to 16 hours of video streaming on a single charge. The battery can be powered by 33W charging, and according to the manufacturer, only 15 minutes of charging is required for 26 hours of music playback. If you want to take photos because there is nothing else at hand, you can use the tablet's 8-megapixel front cameras and 8-megapixel rear camera.

The tablet runs on the Android 14 operating system, which is complemented by the HyperOS interface, and we get a bunch of additional options, for example, we can film the screen of our phone on the tablet. This function also allows us to transfer texts, files and images between the two devices, but we can also use the shared clipboard for this purpose. It is also useful to be able to connect the tablet to the phone with one touch.

In addition to the tablet, the manufacturer also offers two official cases, one of which is the POCO Pad Cover, which is more for protection, while the POCO Pad Keyboard can increase our productivity, just like the POCO Smart Pen.
