As expected, the Redmi Note 12 mobile phones were also introduced in Europe today. The base 4G model is pretty new, and we haven’t seen this anywhere else, but the Note 12 5G and two Pro models have been available elsewhere in China for some time. Let’s take a look at what Xiaomi’s mid-range phones can do!
Redmi Note 12 (4G)
The entry-level model of the series has a 6.67-inch, 120Hz AMOLED screen, the resolution is the usual Full HD +, and the maximum brightness can reach 1200 nits. Protection is provided by Gorilla Glass 3.
The phone is powered by the 6nm Snapdragon 685 chip, which can be ordered with 4, 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and the internal storage capacity of UFS 2.2 is 64 or 128 GB and can be expanded.
The 50MP main camera uses a Samsung JN1 sensor, along with an 8MP wide-angle module and a 2MP macro camera. You can take selfies with the front sensor of 13MP.
The battery capacity is 5000 mAh and supports 33W fast charging. The adapter for this will be included in the box. Also of note is the fingerprint reader on the side, IP53 drop-resistant rating, 3.5mm jack and infrared port.
Redmi Note 12 5G phone
The 5G version is almost identical to the 4G model, and the biggest difference is the hardware, because it uses Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, which already allows access to new generation networks.
The phone also has NFC (depending on the region) and is available with 256GB of storage. The screen, cameras and other features are almost the same, as well as the design, there is no fundamental difference.
Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G
The screen parameters have not fundamentally changed, we still got a 6.67-inch, 120 Hz panel with Full HD + resolution, but here they used a slightly more serious solution, which has the name “Flow AMOLED”. Gorilla Glass 5 protection and new Dolby Vision support.
The phone is powered by a more powerful hardware, a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 with so-called “LiquidCool” cooling, which is accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
There’s also a 50MP camera on the back, but this time a bigger and more serious sensor, Sony IMX766, that works with optical image stabilization. The 8MP wide-angle camera and 2MP macro unit have not changed, but the selfie camera is now 16MP.
The battery capacity is also 5000 mAh this time, but it can be charged at 67W, and here we also get the appropriate adapter. The side fingerprint reader, IP53 drop-resistant rating, 3.5mm jack connector, NFC and infrared port are not left out. There’s also a pair of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and the vibration motor is a bit more serious than the base models.
Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G
The Pro+ version is very similar to the regular Pro model, but there are some significant improvements. For example, the Dimensity 1080 chip already comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, but most importantly the main 200 MP camera (1 / 1.4 inch sensor size, 2.24 µm after 16 merge es pixels, f /1.6 aperture, OIS).
Another advance can be seen in the charging process, the 5000 mAh battery can be powered up to 120W, and a suitable adapter is included.
