Another alternative has arrived for those who want to buy a more affordable tablet under 10 inches. After its launch in India, the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 has also arrived in Europe, which is also sold in versions equipped with Wi-Fi and LTE modem.
As the name suggests, the Pad SE 8.7 has an 8.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels, a panel refresh rate of 90 Hz, an aspect ratio of 5: 3, and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The front camera is 5 megapixels. The display is complemented by a dual speaker with Dolby Atmos support, and the device's equipment also includes a headphone output, which will certainly please the couple.
The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, depending on the variant. The latter can be expanded at any time via a micro SD card. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the back of the device.
The tablet welcomes its new owner with Android 14 after the first boot, which can also benefit from the additions of Xiaomi's self-developed HyperOS interface. The device is powered by a 6,650 mAh battery that supports 18W charging. Although the tablet will have an adapter in the box, it will only be able to provide 10W of power.
The tablet will be available in gray, green and blue shades. Buying the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 will not break the family coffers, as the 4/64 GB configuration costs 150 euros if you do not need the LTE modem, and if you do, it means an additional 30 euros with the same RAM and storage configuration. Plus, at current exchange rates, we are talking about 59 and 70 thousand Hungarian forints.
