The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra may offer two major camera upgrades. This information comes from Ice Universe, one of the most prolific guides.
First, regarding the main and telephoto cameras, it says that we will get a 200-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Basically, this is what the Galaxy S24 Ultra offers among its novelties.
Samsung is planning to release two major camera updates for the Galaxy S25 Ultra
However, Samsung is planning to release updates for the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. According to Ice Universe, it will include a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto lens (3x optical zoom).
As a reminder, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. These updates allow Samsung to better compete with other OEMs in these areas.
In fact, this could be serious business for Samsung. The company has been pushing the 10MP telephoto camera for too long, and many would say the same about the 12MP ultrawide unit. These new cameras should provide more detail and other benefits with proper image processing. Let's hope Samsung's image processing is enough to take full advantage of the new camera sensors.
Despite previous rumors, the phone will have four rear cameras
This is also another confirmation from Ice Universe that the phone will have four cameras on the back. Some sources hinted at the presence of three rear cameras, but Ice Universe was quick to deny this.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to arrive in the first quarter of next year. Of course, it is expected to be released with the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus devices. The three phones are likely to arrive in January. Nothing has been confirmed yet, as this period is still far away. Samsung is currently focusing on launching the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Ring.
