They are expected to prepare interdisciplinary scientific projects that address practical questions and problems in the field of firefighting, civil protection, and industrial safety.
By announcing the bid, the Board wishes to encourage all applicants who undertake, on the basis of the selected subjects, to prepare academic projects – monographs or dissertations that have not been published elsewhere.
We welcome submissions on the following topics:
- Analyzing the work of civil defense systems to reveal good practices in European countries.
- Impact of disaster vulnerability and security challenges in Hungary on possibilities for implementation of the CER Directive.
- Possibilities of developing means and methods of public information related to dangerous plants.
- Possibilities of applying artificial intelligence (machine learning) for disaster prevention.
- Professional and legal issues for cross-border disaster prevention cooperation.
- Preparation and preparation for extreme weather events with the participation of civil and non-governmental organizations and municipalities, methods and capacity building at the local level.
- The place and role of disaster management agencies in the system of tasks of the Department of Defense and Security.
The submitted work must be organized in terms of content and form, with a logical structure, and must contain a summary at the end, in which innovation proposals must be included.
Applications must be mailed in by September 27, and works received will be evaluated by a professional jury made up of experts. The first three places will receive cash prizes (total of HUF 300, HUF 200 and HUF 150,000, respectively).
The results of the tender and awarding of prizes will be announced at the Home Affairs Science Council Ceremonial Meeting – Hungarian Science Festival 2023, held as the closing event for the Home Affairs chapter.
