The scientific work has been recognized by the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of the Foundation managing the University of Debrecen and the Administration of the University of Debrecen presented publication awards and doctoral certificates of excellence to forty-three university professionals performing exemplary scholarly work. Through scholarships, the Council aims to encourage researchers to publish and provide a model for future scientists for the scientific profession.

The Gróf Tisza István Foundation of the University of Debrecen has recognized the research activities of leading professionals by awarding doctoral awards for publication and distinction. Twenty-five, and the last, eighteen talented employees received the previous recognition on Friday in the main building hall. For the first time, the university awarded scholarships to deserving researchers. A total of two hundred applications were received for the two awards, in addition to the recently awarded GTIDEA Professorship.

Giorgi KosaAt the awards ceremony, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Grove Foundation, Tessa Istvan, assured the University of Debrecen that excellence constitutes a role model and contributes to enhancing the institution’s professional reputation and scientific standing.

-We need role models. The University of Debrecen community can look forward to the current laureates, as these high achievers have done outstanding academic work and are found by their institution’s community to be worthy of appropriate recognition. PhD holders can achieve their goals with a secure financial background while starting their academic careers, and can benefit from the results of their research areas within the university walls. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees said that the whole world can learn about the works of the publishing award winners, and specialists can enhance the professional reputation of the institution at the international level.

Zoltan SilvasyIn his speech, the President of the University of Debrecen stressed that cooperation between the university and the Board of Trustees is also very beneficial from a scientific standpoint.

– Many people were afraid of the changes that would affect universities due to the changing model, but the current occasion shows that the university is also able to influence the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, the supporting institution. The most prominent university professionals, future scholars, have now received the latter’s recognition. There is constructive interaction between the university and the Board of Trustees, and this cooperation has had amazing results. Pleasantly, almost all areas of science were represented at the awards ceremony – and we could hear the Rector say.

Peter the GreatThere were a lot of excellent entries for the call, which clearly demonstrates that the scientific background of the University of Debrecen is of high quality, and that the scientific presentation is guaranteed,” said the Chairman of the Scientific and Social Advisory Board of GTIDEA.

All applicants have publications, their work has been published in reputable journals, most of them lecture regularly at the university, and appear in national and international professional forums. Thanks to the Board of Trustees for creating a team of future scientists through the awards, who can be a solid foundation for scientific research on which to build its scientific strategy. The work of futurists did not end there, but was just beginning. The recognized researchers can contribute to increasing the scientific standing of the University of Debrecen through their forward-looking work, added the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

With this award, the winners of the Gróf Tisza István Debrecen Excellence Doctoral Scholarship will double their current allowance, and the winners of the Gróf Tisza István Debrecen Foundation Publishing Award will receive a total support of HUF 1,500,000 per publication. In the future, three of the most prominent doctoral researchers will receive five million forints for the completion of their scientific mission.
